The Touchstone Story...I travelled to England to experience the magic and mystery of a land steeped in beauty and myth. Our guide, Mara Freeman, specializes in leading sacred journeys. During an excursion to a remote and humble church we were led around the back of the old stone building. At the rear of the church was a large boulder with a worn away center. Mara explained that healers for centuries had pilgrimaged to this magical stone to lay their hands on, and draw strength from this powerful and spiritual rock. She invited anyone who felt so inclined to place their hand in the divot of the stone. As I laid my hand in the worn center where many had before me something powerful shifted for me.

I carried that experience home with me, and came to refer to the stone as my touchstone, a reminder of who I am and the path I have chosen. The name grew into Touchstone Healing and since its inception as the name of my therapy practice it has also evolved into a concept to connect others to their own innate wisdom. It is sometimes a word, phrase or feeling that reminds clients of who they truly are and helps see them through life’s challenges.
I invite you to come and discover your touchstone.
